Hello everyone,

is it possible to export data to a spreadsheet?
I am quite new to Scatt, but it strucks me as easier to track the personal progress with an spreadsheet.
Otherwise I would have to scroll through the Scatt sessions. Or am I wrong here?
How do you track your personal progress / compare different sessions?

Best regards

Yes, provided you're using Scatt Professional on Windows. However it is a bit tricky. There used to be vbs scripts on the scatt website for this purpose. They have since been removed, but you can still find them on github. They only work on 32 bit Windows. Luckily there is a 32-bit subsystem on 64 bit windows. So if you run the scrips from C:\Windows\SysWOW64\cmd.exe they work just fine

Thank you for the quick response. "Unfortunately" I am using the Expert Version.
The Professional Version is installed. Therefore there I receive no error message. But I never saved any sessions with the professional version. So I can't verfify if the script works properly (I saved it under C:/ and ran it with the cmd.exe out of the folder you posted).

Anyways it doesn't help much since I saved any session so far with the Expert Version ^^

I'd be happy to make a tool for Scatt Expert and open source it if Scatt would share pertinent information on how the file format works. I asked Scatt for this information but their answer was that they would add this feature once the mobile app was released. Scatt-expert files are SQLite3 databases so much of the file format is pretty self-explanatory. You can open them up in any SQLite tool, such as SQLitebrowser, and have a look. However the trace itself is stored as a cryptic binary blob which I can't understand the format of.

Unfortunately, there's no way to share raw data (the BLOB column data, etc.) with you or anyone else for that matter, as this would be against our TOS ("....You may not use this SOFTWARE with other shooter training systems, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive the source code for the SOFTWARE"). I hope you guys understand .

The good news is that we certainly do have plans to implement some new data export tools in SCATT Expert
You can expect omni-purpose .CSV extension files that can be opened via Excel, Sheets, MathLab, etc. so you can analyze your practice sessions in bulk and outside of our software.

On a side note, any further development is currently put on hold due to intensive work in regards to our mobile app for MX-W2
After the app is released (approximately late Summer 2020), our dev-team will move forward with everything else (data export included)

Please note that export features won't be there when it comes to our Basic model/software whatsoever.

Hi Dear SCATT Team,
Now that the SCATT Expert Mobile Application is released, do you have any updates regarding the release of an export function of .scatt-expert files to .xlsx, .csv, .mat .json?

Hi Dear SCATT team,
I have been following this thread conversation for quite few days in the interest of extracting raw data from .scatt-expert file to .csv or any other format. And Scatt mobile app for MX-W2 works good and the features are pretty good. Given this, we would benefit even better if we have the tool which converts .scatt-expert file to .csv or any readable format. Kindly please update on this.

Thank you

Hi Scatt Team,
Do you have any updates regarding taking raw data out of the Scatt software?

I ask as I am going to do a study within shooting and would like to use the Scatt system as a data collection tool for determinates of shot success. For this I will need the raw data.

I would rather use the Scatt system over other options as I am an advocate of this system and have used it as a athlete for many years.
