I think this very gap highlighted below should be enough for the supplied mounting plate to slide in, no?

I can slide it unscrewing the cylinder a bit and adding some pressure. This has already peeled part of the sticker and I'm afraid it will end up eating out the rubber stop that the cylinder rests against. After using the Steyr fastener, I prefer the comfort of having the fastener on the side of the weight rail and only add and remove the sensor

Totally makes sense, Ramon. I will forward it to our manufacturing guys and we'll se what can be done for this model.
By the way, what "sticker" are we talking about exactly? (just to make sure that we are on the same page)

For the Steyr Evo and LP 10 I use the metal tape attachment that comes with the kit. Works OK. I have tried the side mount but it added aot of weight to one side of the pistol.
I have also have used a 3D printed mount someone gave me but it can be bumped and you lose your zero.

Putting it here is really going to change the handling of the gun. It doesn't take much of a gap to slide the steel tape attachment.

I had issues with the old mount for SCATT USB, which had to be slided. I have not tried with the new one (no longer using Steyr) but I can see how it would be easier.

A little update on the P8X: we'll try to design and manufacture a new mounting solution, just got a confirmation in that regard
But it won't come soon due to all the hickups caused by COVID-19

Just wanted to tell you that I we haven't forgotten about this one

Scatt basic here ;-)
I've made two dummy cylinders, one from thin wall 28mm steel pipe and another from 25mm aluminium rod drilled inside.
Both with Scatt unit weigh same as steyr stock cylinder.

I placed the Scatt as far forward as possible. It here where the muzzle vibrations are and I want the camera to pick those up as a part of seeing what I'm doing right or wrong. Sure the weight will be a bitt of, but you have to see the pros and cons.

I put it there hoping to reduce vibrations... That is my understanding of the effect of putting a weight on the barrel.

I use standard V mount and an old 700c bike innertube like Karate kid easy on easy off, I also have the weight side mount but prefer the innertube method
