Hi, I just received an email announcing the Android release. Good thing!
UPDATED: an email from Scatt USA (scattusa.com).
It advises to contact info@scatt.com to "share your questions and suggestions with us". Any reason why the forum is not mentioned in the email? Is it not an information exchange channel favored by Scatt?

Any feedback conveyed via any exchange channel is highly appreciated, we just assumed that outlining just one specific address would have been less confusing for all parties involved and more streamlined overall :)

I have a problem with Android version. With cellphone it work OK but other Android (Lenovo Tab M10 Plus (64GB)) does not work. The sensor is seen but calibration does not work.

I have the same problem but on Iphone SE
I believe that the iPhone version is not out yet. Only the Android version.

Hello there,

Looks like the devs have found the solution in regards to the mobile app bug!

Please, try the following:
1) Without changing your phones' interface language, go into the apps' Settings -> General -> Language.
2) Change the language to any other language rather than English (for example, Italian). It will take you back from the menu and everything will be in Italian.
3) Access the language menu once again and select English this time.
4) Now try and see what happens during the Calibration/in Preview Mode.

The camera's shutter should open up and start feeding video just like the Preview Mode on your desktop.

How can I change the shooter name in the Android app? When I import this into the Windows version after exporting it, I find it under the appropriate name. If I do the record for another person, it is "wrong" deposited.

Hi guys, I just bought a Google chromebook with Android operating system. I have an MX-02, is there anyway to get my Scatt to run on it?

I only realised the Android software was for the MX-W2.

Yep, unfortunately, no cables are going to make a wired device mobile compatible on a consistent basis (we actually ran plenty of tests). Android/iOS app compatibility shall remain exclusive to MX-W2, for it's the only wireless model in our product line

However, you can import the files recorded with your MX02 into the app and view them on your phone/tablet, which could come pretty convenient for some handheld analysis on the go. Please note that right now only .expert files are supported, if you practice via SCATT Pro training software, you'd need to wait a bit, as .pro extension files are going to become compatible in the next version of the app

I don't see this as a mistake. But how can I change the shooter's name if I want to record for someone else?

Alright, makes sense now!

Unfortunately, the only way to create a new shooter profile would be by deleting and re-installing the app.
We are looking forward to implementing cloud sync, since offline profile/user swaps are quite complicated (and we rather not include this feature whatsoever in the early stages than take a risk with the potential bugs)

Hello,

First, you need to export a practice file from the desktop program - I'm quite confident you know how to do that already, don't you?
The next step would be to send this freshly exported .expert extension file via gMail or WhatsApp to someone. This is due to some temporary limitations of the app, as importing directly from the device's memory still needs some polish and we don't recommend actually saving the file on your monile device (at least at the moment).

As far as I know, the importing works flawlessly when you simply tap the file in, say, gMail or WhatsApp attachments - it shall automatically boot the app and pull up the file. Please, give it a try and tell us how everything went ;)

Thank you for your answer Peter.

Obviously I was using the wrong file extension while trying import the file for the first time because I was trying to do that with an older session I've had.

Anyhow, I've found even easier way to import the file without sending it to someone...
The thing is I've simply exported the file from my Windows expert software to the Dropbox and than just tap on the same file on my Scattexpert mobile app and it worked like a charm.

Hope this will help to someone else too.
