So ya, i have an old laptop lying around (about 15+ years old) and its running Windows XP on it.
I want to be able to use it for Scatt because its literally doing nothing, and its a perfectly good (albeit old) laptop.
I have no intentions of updating it to windows 10/11. and it will not be connected to my private internet, not even to update drivers/etc anymore. (worried about viruses/old tech/just dont feel the need)

So i have to use USB thumbdrives to transfer files, oh well. ill deal.

heres my problem:
Getting the sensor to be recognized by windows was a problem, but i worked around it.
Now to tackle the Software.
Installing it went fine, but its messing up on a Kernel32.dll

Specifically:

The procedure entry point CancelIoEx could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernel32.dll

Now im pretty sure i cant just copy my kernel32.dll from win 10 to the win xp system without errors... but going to try it.

but in the mean time, does anyone have any suggested workarounds?
and no, i cant afford a new laptop/dont want to reinstall windows (and dont want to pay for a cd key) and dont want a tablet.

I know its a long shot, but i thought id come and ask. Any help is appreciated!
