Hello. I am the proud owner of a new SCATT MX-W2, and I have been thrilled with its capabilities.

I have one question regarding the way that the shot looks on the Shooting screen, along with the Information Panel. In the manual for the MX-W2 using the Scatt Expert software, the shot looks like a large green dot (including the number of the shot in a string).

On my screen, however, the shot appears as a small white dot, ringed with red, but it is very difficult to see. I see in the Preferences where it appears that the color of the shot can be changed, but I don't see where the size can be set or changed so that it appears as it does in the manual?

Thank you!

Hi, I am colorblind, therefore I have changed most of the colors to my liking. On the right site of the screen where you have to specify what guns you are shooting I changed it to a heavy caliber so I could see the shoots better.
If you chose an air-rifle target the bullet-holes appear to be bigger. I hope it helps a little.

Hello there and thanks for choosing SCATT :)

So the shot holes correlate with the caliber used in that particular event in order to better simulate what you would see on the physical card. Willi pretty much answered the question already - some targets let you choose between a couple of options (in case the rulebook allows for some wiggle room) and other events provide you with just one default caliber in accordance with the official rulebook - when choosing the target, take a look at your upper right corner to see the available caliber options.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for your reply!
I was most concerned that I wasn't doing something correctly with the software setup. Your and Willi's guidance makes huge sense, and I will take your advice regarding playing with the target/caliber options if the shot visibility is a big problem, although I really don't believe it is.
Kind regards,
Mike

Just FYI: you can always zoom into the target to see a particular shot-hole better.
Feel free to utilize the number-row on your keyboard, with "1" being the most zoomed out and "8-9" - the most zoomed in

On my (rather old software) Scatt USB, the number selected on the keyboard determines the lowest scoring ring that you see - '1' shows the whole target (most zoomed OUT), '6' shows the whole 6 ring and '9' just shows the 9 ring (most zoomed IN) - the reverse of what you said.

I also have a really hard time seeing the shot "hole", or indicator. I'm practicing highpower on a 200 yard SR target, but the shot hole is no bigger than the width of the trace line. I see above that you can select a larger caliber to see a bigger "hole", but wouldn't that also inflate the score if the software uses the edge of the bullet to determine score value? Seems to me a good suggestion is to allow selection of the caliber (affects scoring), and the size of the shot indicator so you can see it better.
