older Scatt with expert software question

dear all,
i´m asking for a teammate who don´t speak english and so i write her for him.
I could not help him in this case because i have a Scatt Basic and he has the Expert software on an old Windows XP Notebook.
Now to the question:
if he is practicing, the shots are vertical mirrored to the real shots on his target, means a 9,5 left on target is a 9,5 right in Scatt expert.
He has mounted the Scatt sensor under the barrel.
Is there a possibility to change this in the settings of expert software?

Could you tell me what sensor model your friend has?

Also, tell him to connect the device and go into About -> Diagnostics in Expert
Then take a full-page screenshot for me

Alright, makes sense now!

Please, ask your friend to do the following:
- Uninstall SCATT drivers via "add or remove program" in Windows
- Install this version of Pro
- Install this XP-specific driver package

Then, with all programs (Pro in particular) and windows closed boot this diagnostics app, connect the trainer and take a screenshot for me. After this is done, he may try and run a practice session in Pro, but I assume that the program is going to pull up some error message regarding the firmware - please, tell me if it does or not

i´m sorry, but your tips does not work.
i always get the message that the Device key of the target is not üresent and if i want to insert it from the paper it does not work.
can i send you some pictures in private mail, becaue i don´t want to post them here.
even the USB diag tool does not find any Scatt device!

This one has been successfully sorted out. The firmware turned out to be extremely old like version 1 or 2 at best for the sensor and the target, which is pretty much factory settings 15 years ago. We had to move to a laptop with a more advanced OS, since SCATT Pro on Windows XP was demanding device codes and refusing to accept them at the same time (that is also a telltale sign that the frimware is extremely outdated together with weird serial number in USBdiag that get displayed with a bunch of zeros), while the updater app wasn't able to see trainer parts as connected whatsoever.

Bumped the firmware of all three components up to versions 8 and 10, which is pretty much the highest it can go given how old the hardware is. All in all, the trainer is back online now and practice-ready on any PC

To anyone who might stumble on this thready: I can't stress how important it is to check for firmware updates at least once a year in order to not fall behind on firmware dramatically

thats totaly right!
I have issues with a teammates Scatt USB, a very old one without any firmware update yet.
Peter has made all firmware updates and it is working fine!
Thats what i call "customer support"!!
Very nice, competently and helpfull, not as i know from the "german support dessert"!
