MX-02 focus ring doesn't lock by the screw #5 when set closer than 15m

My new MX-02 refuses to lock the focus tube at any distance shorter than 15m. When the focus is set to 15m or further, screw 5 correctly locks the focus action. When set to anything below 15m (I train at 5m), with the screw 5 all the way in the focus tube is loose as if the screw 5 wasn't tightened. Makes the unit unusable, as the point of impact drifts during the session because the lens moves slightly when I cycle the action.

If I tighten the screw 5 when focussed at 5m, the focus tube is loose. As I twist the focus toward the far end, I can feel focus ring get tight and stop when it points at ~15m, and I can't move it any further toward 25m/infinity without loosening the screw 5.

Ok, posting the resolution in case anyone comes here later with the same problem - looks like the issue was that I was not tightening the screw #5 enough. Once I pushed it just a tiny bit more than I initially thought was "reasonable", the focussing tube has correctly locked and we're all good!
