I've recently bought a MX-W2, my first issue is it doesn't appear to like being connected to my wireless network, or rather it just won't connect, just flashes. Second thing when I set the laptop to connect to the scatt it connects fine, select my target, do the preview mode it can see the target, bit pixelated but not sure how good it should be, anyway after unchecking the preview tab and trying to take a shot I don't get a red cross at all.

I've tried all lights on in the room, also turning all rights off so only the target illuminated via a lamp, but still no red cross...what am I doing wrong?

Just can't get it to calibrate, it detects the shot, but no red cross do can't get any further.

Any help?

Hello there,

First of all, feel free to check our first-time setup video
I've time-stamped the part about WiFi mode so you have a visual reference point to come back to in the future

Now onto the Calibration issue: are you on desktop of the mobile app?
One way or another, this is most likely caused by your lighting setup

Here is one of my posts about the lighting, what lamps to use and what to avoid
Please, make sure you follow all of it and then contact me over DM's if there's still no success
By the way, you don't need to put this Iris Diaphragm on the lens indoors

So if you have it screwed on, go ahead and take it off, as it may be exactly what's causing the problem :)

Hi,

Thanks for the reply got it all working now thanks.

Only issue I have is lack of confidence now as the results via Scatt are poor compared to live fire...am guessing it's aiming issues as using a light box which is giving me a not so clear foresight...the group's appear mainly spread vertical.

Will give it a few more weeks see how things go.

First of all, great news on your SCATT going online and ready for action (y)

Here is another post you might find useful, it's regarding Ballistic Ratio. I'm sure you will be able to eliminate hard discrepancies if you spend some time to play with the parameter and find that personalized coefficient of yours

Hi,

Had another session tonight with the scatt, unfortunately can't get to a range to compare live with Scatt at the moment.

Anyway scores are still approximately 100-140 off my usual scores and also experiencing an oddity in there's an inconsistent shot. By this I mean I end up with the green aim line coming down from above the target, hold in the middle of the target then it shows as though the green line exits the bottom of the target. I have to reset the shot process and to get a shot to register. Is this because I am dropping out the bottom of the target and the Scatt thinks I'm no longer on the shot?

Hello there,

Could you attach the practice file in this thread, please?
Should be easier for me to understand what's happening if I get some evidence :)

Here is an image from a previous set I did, showing just a green line in the top and out the bottom, no shot registered - this one felt a good hold.

Hard to tell from this one screenshot, but my assumption would be that your shot sensitivity is not that optimal

Please, recalibrate twice:
1) first time just move the slider from the most left position to anywhere on the right and them move it back and get your shot down. then run a short session to see if, say, 10 shots go in fine
2) if that doesn't help, enable the ultra senstitive mode and set the slider somewhere east of the center, get the calibration shot in and run another short session to see what's going on

Please, report on the results and we shall take it from there
Looking forward to hearing from you,

It works, shifted the slider to the right and back to where it was...managed 60 shots!

Just need to get confidence back now.

Thanks for your help!
